Our experience of working on industrial sites

Tersus has extensive experience of providing specialist services in industrial buildings across a broad range of sectors, including Nuclear, Industrial and Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Power, Utilities and Energy, Construction and Demolition, Infrastructure and Transport, Healthcare, Food and Beverage and other industrial environments.

Unique buildings and sites

Each of these sectors is unique and specialist, with its very own specific requirements for safety and security. Our deep sector knowledge means that we have a great understanding and experience of working for customers in all of these environments.

  • Specialist vetting such as the Baseline Personnel Security Standard

  • Specialist training such as Triple Bar Training

  • National Water Hygiene ‘The Blue Card’ for work on clean and dirty water sites

Whilst there are similarities across industrial plant and buildings, most sites are unique, which means that thorough planning in advance of delivery is key to success.

  • Technically qualified and experienced team to assess your objectives and develop a defined Scope of Works

  • Deep understanding and knowledge of sector specific challenges and how to overcome them

  • Flexible working patterns to accommodate specialist areas

  • Specialist training to ensure we can safely access radiological areas, work at height and in restricted access

  • Dedicated Contract Management Team who become familiar with your portfolio and bespoke requirements.

Working safely in hazardous environments

Working on industrial sites requires not only the specialist knowledge and skills to deliver a technical service, but the ability to work efficiently without causing mess or disruption, engage with the point of contact on-site to ensure that access is gained to all relevant locations, and sometimes work in hazardous or specialist environments such as plant rooms, radiological areas or underground service ducts. Our team are trained not only in their core technical discipline but are also experienced in working as part of a wider team on CDM projects.

Industry-leading systems and software

We use tablets for efficient on-site data capture and automated reporting. Working to a defined specification, our reports, data and other documentation are accessible via industry-leading online customer portals. Compatible with customer databases and other 3rd party systems, we can present our data, download or import it into the desired format.

Award-winning training

In addition to working on industrial sites, we deliver award-winning training for people responsible for managing or working in industrial buildings.
