Due to laws changing in 1999, all Asbestos importation, supply and use is banned in the UK. But for buildings that were built before 1999, that still contain Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s), if any work is needed to be done, and there is a risk the asbestos fibres will be disturbed, steps need to be taken and the ACM’s need to be managed effectively and safely.
Due to the risk that disturbed Asbestos fibres can cause, this 1-day course is designed to refresh the knowledge attained by delegates in their original P405 course to enable them to effectively manage the risks of asbestos in their buildings.
The BOHS accredited P405 Refresher course is designed to refresh and update delegates with practical and theoretical knowledge and skills that will enable them to manage asbestos in buildings, as well as providing them with a basic understanding of asbestos removal procedures. The topics that will be covered are:
This course is designed for holders of a BOHS P405 Certificate - management professionals who are responsible of all management related to the ACM’s. An example of a professional that would attend this course would be buildings manager, site manager, asbestos manager etc.
To undertake this course, the delegate must hold a valid BOHS P405 certificate. All successful delegates will receive a P405 Refresher Certificate.
Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided at the venue (unless you attend one of our Virtual Classroom courses). Please advise us ahead of the course if you have any specific dietary requirements.
